The label is per

Enter at least energy, protein, carbohydrate and fat per 100.

How this works

Portion value = per-100g value × portion in grams ÷ 100.

If the label shows kilojoules only, divide by 4.184 to get kcal. If it shows sodium instead of salt, multiply by 2.5 to get salt.

Questions people ask

What’s the difference between per 100g and per serving?

Per 100 g lets you compare products fairly. Per serving uses the manufacturer’s idea of a portion, which may be different from yours.

Why does my label show two energy numbers?

UK labels show energy in both kilojoules (kJ) and kilocalories (kcal). Kcal is what people usually mean by calories.
