Calories remaining calculator

This is the question the app answers all day long, in calculator form.

Not sure? Use the calorie calculator, or 2,000 kcal as a rough guide.

Add your numbers to see whether it fits.

How this works

Remaining = target − eaten so far. We then subtract the food you’re considering.

If there are fewer than 100 kcal left afterwards we call it “fits, just”. If it’s over, we say by how much — one day over doesn’t undo your progress.

This tool gives general information, not medical advice. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are worried about your eating or weight, please speak to your GP or a registered dietitian.

Questions people ask

What if I don’t know my target?

Use the calorie calculator first. Or use 2,000 kcal, the UK reference intake used on food labels, as a rough guide.
