Terms of use
Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Tasteally app and website (“the service”). By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy and, if you subscribe, our subscription terms.
About the service
Tasteally helps you understand the nutrition of food and how it fits your personal targets. It is provided by James Pratt, trading as Tasteally, of 56 Maple Avenue, Leicester, LE3 3FH, United Kingdom.
Not medical advice
Tasteally provides general information only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Targets and suggestions are estimates. Speak to your GP or a registered dietitian before changing your diet if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, or are concerned about your eating or weight. See our medical disclaimer.
Nutrition data and estimates
Nutrition information comes from a range of sources: product databases such as Open Food Facts, the UK government’s McCance and Widdowson’s Composition of Foods Integrated Dataset (CoFID) and USDA FoodData Central, published restaurant information, your own label scans and entries, and AI estimates. We show the source and mark estimates clearly, but we can’t guarantee every value is correct. Always check packaging if you have an allergy or intolerance — never rely on Tasteally for allergen safety.
AI features
Photo estimates, the AI coach and the support assistant use artificial intelligence. Their output can be wrong or incomplete, and is not professional advice. Please use your judgement.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to use Tasteally. Keep your login details secure and tell us if you think your account has been misused. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse the service — for example by trying to access other people’s data, interfering with its operation, reverse engineering it except where the law allows, creating accounts to abuse referral rewards, or using it to harass anyone.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you add (such as custom foods, recipes and photos). You give us permission to use it to provide the service to you. If you choose to submit a product to Open Food Facts, it is published under the Open Database Licence.
Our content
The app, website, brand and content belong to us or our licensors. Free tools on our website may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Changes and availability
We work to keep Tasteally available and improving, but we may change, suspend or withdraw features. If a change significantly affects a paid feature, we’ll tell you in advance.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected. Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or that result from relying on nutrition values or estimates without checking them.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
