How this works
Each food’s values are per 100 g (or 100 ml) from the source shown next to it, such as USDA FoodData Central.
We scale each food to your portion and add them together. Cooking methods change values, so pick the cooked or raw version that matches what you’re weighing.
Weighing food gives the best accuracy. If you’re estimating, it’s fine — consistency matters more than precision.
This tool gives general information, not medical advice. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are worried about your eating or weight, please speak to your GP or a registered dietitian.
Questions people ask
Should I weigh food raw or cooked?
Either is fine, as long as you use the matching raw or cooked values. Cooked rice and pasta, for example, contain much more water than dry.
Why don’t you list my brand?
This free tool uses a reference list of common foods. The app adds millions of branded products through barcode scanning.
